Vasba öntött történetek - Öntöttvasművesség Közép-Európában

A Vasba öntött történetek című tárlat az öntöttvasművesség 19. századi történetébe enged betekintést. A látogató megismerkedhet az öntöttvas tárgyak gyártásának folyamatával, a korabeli formatervezők titkaival és a tárgyak színezésének rejtelmeivel. A tintatartókon, dísztálakon, szobrokon egy nem is olyan régi korszak ízlése és a történelem iránti rajongása tükröződik.

A tárgyakon antik és bibliai történetek, történelmi események tűnnek fel, az európai képző- és iparművészet közismert alkotásainak vasba öntött változatai, mint Leonardo da Vinci Utolsó vacsorájának apostolai. A történelmi emlékek közül kiemelkednek Kossuth Lajos 1849-ben Munkácson öntött mellszobra és a II. Rákóczi Ferenc életének fordulópontjait felidéző domborművek. A tárlat újszerű, felfedezésre ösztönző elrendezésének köszönhetően felnőtteknek és gyermekeknek egyaránt szórakoztató élményt nyújt.
