2011-ben ünnepeltük Heckenast Gusztáv születésének 200. évfordulóját, akit Schöpflin Aladár méltán nevezett a magyar könyvkiadás aranyemberének. Emblematikus személyiségéhez a modern magyar nyelvű könyv és sajtó története köthető. De Heckenast nem csupán korszakának egyik legjelesebb könyvkereskedője nyomdatulajdonosa, és kiadója volt, hanem életpályáján, tevékenységén keresztül a hosszú 19. század életvilágának valamennyi szegmense (ipar-, kereskedelem-, technika- és vállalkozástörténet, politika, kultúra, tudomány, közélet) nyomon követhető.
A kiállítás az Országos Széchényi Könyvtárból érkezett a Váci Értéktárba
Megnyitó ünnepség: 2012. április 19., 17 óra.
